About the School of Molecular and Physical Sciences

UNE鈥檚 School of Molecular and Physical Sciences offers three bachelor鈥檚 degrees and three minors.

The importance of problem-solving

The School of Molecular and Physical Sciences offers training in fundamental sciences that impact every aspect of our lives. Through studies in Chemistry, Physics, and related disciplines our students explore matter鈥檚 chemical and physical properties, the changes it undergoes, and the dynamics that accompany those processes.

At UNE, you could work in a research lab developing new biomedical materials, or apply the laws of science to push technological frontiers. Whether you find yourself analyzing subatomic particles or designing green energy solutions, you鈥檒l engage in hands-on experiences that prepare you for a lifetime of purpose and discovery.

Graduates with degrees from the School of Molecular and Physical Sciences develop valuable skills in analysis, problem solving, and laboratory experimentation. From here, you'll be able to launch a rewarding career in research, education, technology development, and beyond.

The small class sizes make it so I鈥檝e been able to easily connect with professors...and get more in-depth one-on-one time. It makes it easier to go to office hours or get more familiar with the professors.鈥
