Jennifer L. Gennaco, M.Ed.
Location
is the Developmental Writing Coordinator and a Multimodal Writing Specialist at the Student Academic Success Center (SASC). As the Developmental Writing Coordinator, Jen oversees writing placement and Writing Lab, where she provides direct-student support in building reading and writing skills. Through curriculum development and design of Writing Lab, Jen integrates accessibility and universal design for learning concepts.
In her former position as DigiSpace Coordinator (2018-2024), Jen taught students to develop a professional digital identity using a WordPress ePortfolio site. She supervised digital literacy consultants at SASC in their role to support students completion of digital projects. She also created content and maintained . She continues to consult with (and support) faculty in shaping digital assignments, such as audio, video, and web-based projects. She also co-developed one of UNE鈥檚 first digital badges: the Multimodal badge.
As a Center for Excellence in Teaching (CETL) Teaching Scholar (2020), Jen led a , resulting in faculty development of digital projects and increased awareness of the ePortfolio initiative at UNE.
Jen has presented at national and international conferences and published regarding the use of (2023).
Previously, Jen taught English Composition at 91直播视频(and other area colleges) from 2009-2019. Particularly interested in the role of peer review and authentic audience as a means to build students' writing and reading skills. She has also served as a Professional Writing Consultant at SASC.
