91直播视频COM focus of osteopathic medicine journal鈥檚 August issue
The 91直播视频 (91直播视频COM) is the focus of the latest issue of the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association (JAOA).
The journal鈥檚 August issue features four research articles written by 91直播视频COM faculty and students plus an editorial by Carol Brenner, Ph.D., associate dean for Research and Scholarship for the college, and a special communication by Jane Carreiro, D.O., 91直播视频COM dean and vice president for Health Affairs. The issue builds off of 91直播视频COM鈥檚 existing reputation as an innovator in medical education by highlighting the college鈥檚 role as an increasingly productive environment for diversified research and scholarship.
鈥淭his issue allows us the opportunity to showcase who we are, what we do, and how we are preparing the next generation of the U.S. health care workforce,鈥 Brenner said.

Carreiro鈥檚 closing piece highlights 91直播视频COM鈥檚 achievements over the course of its 40-year history, specifically noting that the college has graduated more than 3,300 physicians who practice throughout the nation and world, that 62% of graduates practice as primary care physicians, and that more than 26% of graduates practice in rural and underserved areas.
Additionally, Carreiro points out, 91直播视频COM graduates practicing primary care in Maine have an annual economic impact of more than $100 million.
"Community and environment were important to our founders, and they remain the underpinnings of 91直播视频COM today,鈥 Carreiro said. 鈥91直播视频COM is emblematic of New England values and resources, and our commitment to supporting the mind, body, and spirit of our students, faculty, staff, and community is heartfelt. Our gratitude to those who took a chance on the future is ever present as is our sense of responsibility to live up to that vision and trust.
