On February 10, the 91直播视频Dance Team hosted a clinic for children from the extended southern Maine community. Sixty kids, ranging in age from 5 to 18 years, participated in the clinic, traveling from as far away as New Hampshire and Bangor to attend.

Head coach of the Dance Team, Molly Roberts, an admissions counselor in UNE's Office of Undergraduate Admissions, choreographed a routine that the participants learned in the morning. They performed the routine with the 91直播视频Dance Team members later in the day as a halftime show at the UNE women鈥檚 basketball game against Salve Regina.

鈥淲e had so much fun hosting this event,鈥 said Roberts. 鈥淭he clinic was a great opportunity for us to engage with the 91直播视频and surrounding community, including local dance studios. I鈥檓 proud of our team for their energy and hard work, and we鈥檙e looking forward to continuing our community outreach.鈥

Roberts and Dance Team co-captains Alyssa Dumond (Health, Wellness and Occupational Studies, 鈥18) and Haley Bauman (Applied Exercise Science, 鈥19) organized the clinic with assistance from the 91直播视频Athletics Department. Plans are underway to make the clinic an annual event.
