91直播视频Online鈥檚 Nan M. Solomons Presents at international nursing conference

Nan Solomons

Nan M. Solomons, Ph.D., practicum coordinator for the graduate programs in Health Informatics at 91直播视频Online, was chosen to present select findings from her dissertation research at the 28th International Nursing Research Congress in Dublin, Ireland, in late July. This prestigious conference is hosted by Sigma Theta Tau International, the honor society of nursing.

鈥淚 was honored to be selected to present a portion of my dissertation findings at such a prestigious conference, and I was thrilled for the opportunity to actually meet some of the researchers that I referenced in my dissertation,鈥 said Solomons.

Solomons鈥 Ph.D. is in nursing with a health innovation concentration for non-nurses, and her podium presentation was based on findings from her dissertation research on communication patterns among nurses. In her research, Solomons explored the influence of staff communication patterns and perceptions of communication quality on the adoption of and adherence to transitions of care best practices using social network research methods. Significant findings were discovered between communication patterns and perceptions of communication quality.

The theme of the International Nursing Research Congress conference this year was 鈥淚nfluencing Global Health Through the Advancement of Nursing Scholarship.鈥 Solomons鈥 presentation fit in quite well with the theme, and a lively question-and-answer session after her talk indicated that the presentation was well received among her peers.
