The Portland Press Herald interviewed 91直播视频 Director of Nursing Jennifer Morton, D.N.P, M.P.H., APHN-BC, for an article about the shortage of health care workers in Maine.

The article, titled, 鈥淪hortage of health care workers in Maine puts strain on providers,鈥 detailed the strain the shortage is putting on medical institutions. It cited Maine鈥檚 aging worker population and a generally shrinking workforce as reasons for the shortage.

Morton explained that 91直播视频is working to address the shortage by increasing enrollment by 50 percent over the last five years and offering three separate tracks for students to earn their degree. Morton also pointed out that 91直播视频has one of the top nursing programs in the state, with about a 95 percent graduation rate.
