UNE鈥檚 Center for Excellence in Health Innovation and the M.P.H. Program co-hosted Camara Jones, M.D., M.P.H., Ph.D., president of the American Public Health Association, at a Maine Public Health Association (MPHA) reception in the Newberry Room of Alumni Hall on the evening of October 17. 

Jones is a family physician, epidemiologist, and a research director on social determinants of health at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. As the keynote speaker at MPHA鈥檚 annual meeting on October 18, she gave a preview of her talk, which is focused on the impact of racism on health. 

Dora Anne Mills, M.D., M.P.H., director of the Center for Excellence in Health Innovation, introduced Jones and welcomed the audience. A number from 91直播视频were in attendance, including Titilola Balogum, M.P.H., Dr.PH., practicum coordinator for UNE鈥檚  M.P.H Program.
