SNAP-Ed educators appear on The Chew
In September, a crew from nationally syndicated talk show, The Chew, was on location at the community kitchen in the in Lewiston to tape a segment showing viewers easy ways to feed their families healthy food on a limited budget.
Local Maine Maine Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program 鈥 Education (SNAP-Ed) nutrition educators, Paul Drowns and Rebecca Dugan, worked with The Chew鈥檚 guest chef, Daphne Oz, to prepare 鈥淭he Works Pizza,鈥 a low-cost, easy and healthy recipe. The recipe was courtesy of Cooking Matters, one of eight curricula implemented statewide by the SNAP-Ed program.
