Geoffrey Ganter鈥檚 laboratory has research article accepted for publication

Geoffrey Ganter, Ph.D., associate professor of biology in CAS and a faculty member in the Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences (CEN), along with several students and 91直播视频alumni has had an original research paper accepted by the Journal of Insect Physiology. The paper, entitled 鈥淒rosophila female precopulatory behavior is modulated by ecdysteroids鈥 describes a neurogenetic connection between steroid hormones and sexual behavior in the fruit fly.  The team that carried out the project included a number of current, Kelsey Kincaid (2013), Joselle O鈥橞rien (2013), former undergraduates, CAS alumni Anda Panaitiu (2011), Leonard Tan (2011) and Joseph Desilets (2010), and Master鈥檚 student, Jessica Davis-Knowlton.  All of the involved CAS alumni are currently attending graduate or medical schools.
