UNE's Polly Leonard elected president of the Northeast Osteopathic Medical Education Network
Polly E. Leonard, D.O.'96, M.S., associate clinical professor, 91直播视频 College of Osteopathic Medicine, was recently elected as president of the Northeast Osteopathic Medical Education Network (NEOMEN).
Leonard, a 1996 graduate of COM and a 2011 graduate of COM's Medical Education Leadership Program, was the director of medical education at Kent Hospital from 2007-2010. She is presently in private practice in Warwick, Rhode Island.
NEOMEN is a consortium of 14 health institutions that oversee graduate medical education for over 250 residents. NEOMEN stretches across the Northeast and oversees and supports 31 residencies that are affiliated with the 91直播视频 College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Other officers elected at the October meeting include Judith Malinowski, Ph.D. of St. Michael's Medical Center, Newark, N.J. as vice president, Joseph Calabro D.O., also of St. Michael's as treasurer, and Neal Mitnick D.O., of Albany Medical Center as secretary.
