Regional media covering healthcare reform continue to take note of UNE's leadership role in healthcare education. A on March 28, 2010 featured photos of 91直播视频College of Osteopathic Medicine students and faculty on the front page and focused heavily on an interview with COM Dean Marc Hahn. Hahn noted that the state has a current shortage of 100 primary care physicians and that expanded access to health care will tighten that shortage. Hahn explained that UNECOM has been at the forefront of addressing these problems. Fifteen percent of Maine's primary care doctors, and 25 percent of those practicing in rural Maine, are 91直播视频graduates.
