The 91直播视频 hosted a two-day symposium on fish health and disease, diagnosis and treatment on its Biddeford Campus August 14-15.  The symposium was sponsored by the 91直播视频Department of Biology and the aquaculture and aquarium science program.

Representatives from the ornamental fish trade industry, professional aquarists, aquarium service people and advanced hobbyists attended sessions led by notable fish experts,  including 91直播视频associate professors Jeri Fox, Ph.D., and James Sulikowski, Ph.D.; Edward J. Noga, DVM; Robert M. Fenner, Julie Cavin, DVM; Rick Oellers, Soren Hansen, and Randy Reed. 

Attendees participated in seminars on topics such as basic microscope and fish diagnosis techniques; ornamental fishbreeding; Caribbean fish health; diseases in public aquaria; invasive lionfish in the Caribbean; captive saltwater fish; fish disease recognition and treatment; and fish care in the ornamental trade
