Trisha Mason appointed founding Director of 91直播视频Center for International Education
The 91直播视频 has appointed Trisha Mason as its founding director of the Center for International Education.
As the College of Arts and Sciences director of international programs and continuing education for the past three years, Mason has successfully institutionalized and grown both programs, streamlining and increasing revenues in continuing education and each year, significantly expanding the number of students studying abroad.
Mason has extensive international experience including studying and working in Latin America and travel to over 20 countries. She received her B.A. in World Politics from Hamilton College and her M.A. in Public Policy and Management from the Muskie School at the University of Southern Maine.
Professionally, Mason spent five years in Washington, D.C. at the Institute of International Education, supporting a global business student advisor program, and at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where she led U.S. congressional delegation visits to Latin America, orchestrated international delegation and head of state visits and managed an ambassador tour in collaboration with the Brazilian Embassy.
While in graduate school, Mason worked at the Maine Small Business Development Centers, overseeing a federal demonstration project and authoring over $750,000 in winning grant applications.
This center will report directly to the Office of the Provost, and will work closely with all colleges of the University to develop and promote a wide range of international and intercultural educational and research opportunities for members of the 91直播视频community.
