CECE Event – Hidden Youth: Homelessness among adolescents, teens, young adults in rural communities
Youth homelessness is a significant public health issue that has long term consequences. It comes in many forms including living on the streets, couch surfing, and residing in temporary homeless shelters. While there is considerable focus on youth homelessness in urban environments, there is a similar impact on individuals and communities in rural environments. This panel will describe rural youth homeless, share stories, and suggest action needed to ensure safe and healthy shelter.
This event is facilitated by Jennifer Gunderman, M.P.H., Workforce Development Team Lead, AHEC Director, and 91Ö±²¥ÊÓƵAssistant Clinical Professor
