Public Health Lecture Series

Dr. Ronald Deprez, Director for the 91直播视频Center for Community and Public Health will discuss epidemiological based measures and processes to assess health status and determine health service needs of populations. Deprez and his colleagues are leaders in the development of population-based healthcare needs assessment and planning technologies.  He has led over 75 community health need studies in the US and overseas. In this session he will present the Center鈥檚 Community and Institutional Assessment Process (CIAP), a set of research based planning tools for prioritizing and restructuring health services.  This process has been used successfully determining a population鈥檚 bed needs, in reorganization of local and regional health care delivery systems and in the development of practical health and medical education curriculum and training modules for classroom and on-site student and professional education programs.

The 91直播视频Center for Community and Public Health Lecture Series is a year-long series designed to introduce undergraduate students, graduate students, and members of the public to the examination of health care issues facing Americans today. The lectures are offered by full-time faculty members from across the University as well as accomplished scholars of these issues who are not members of the 91直播视频community.

The seminar is free of charge and seating is limited, so please RSVP to Mary Louie by March 5th to ensure your participation in this timely and important event.  Lunch will be provided.
