The 91Ö±²¥ÊÓƵ has announced two new members elected to its Board of Trustees this fall.
Suzanne Iovanna ’86 (Dental Hygiene) and Todd Cesca ’96 (Liberal Arts) will join 21 of their peers in overseeing the University's strategic direction, financial health, and overall governance, playing a crucial role in ensuring its long-term success.
A little about UNE’s newest trustees:
Suzanne Iovanna
Suzanne Iovanna, president of Pride Motor Group in Lynn, Massachusetts, is a 1986 graduate of 91Ö±²¥ÊÓƵ(previously the Westbrook College) in dental hygiene.
Iovanna assumed leadership of the automotive dealership after her husband's death in 2014. Despite no prior experience in the industry, Iovanna embraced the challenge. She completed the National Automobile Dealers Association certification program in 2017 and trained with Hyundai and Kia in Korea, earning the title of Dealer Principal.
Previously a periodontal surgical assistant, Iovanna is passionate about promoting women's leadership in business. She was named the Girls Inc. Strong Smart and Bold Honoree in 2020.
The Pride Motor Group includes Pride Hyundai, Pride Kia and Pride Chevrolet, continuing the legacy of the family-owned business.
Todd Cesca, M.P.A., CRPC
Todd Cesca, M.P.A., CRPC, a 1996 91Ö±²¥ÊÓƵ liberal arts graduate, is a partner and senior financial advisor at Charter Oak Capital Management, where he has worked since 2002.
A former 91Ö±²¥ÊÓƵlacrosse player, Cesca remains active in the sport, serving on the board of the Kennebunk Lacrosse Club and volunteering as the boys' varsity lacrosse coach at Kennebunk High School for 17 years. He regularly participates in UNE's annual lacrosse alumni game held at homecoming each year.
Cesca chairs the board for the United Way of Southern Maine and serves on various endowment investment committees. His commitment to 91Ö±²¥ÊÓƵincludes past service on the Alumni Council and receiving the 2011 Alumni Service Award. Cesca frequently attends University events, demonstrating his ongoing engagement with the 91Ö±²¥ÊÓƵcommunity.
